• The aim of our Peer Support Volunteer Project is:

‘To ensure that no patient (or their supporter) should ever have to walk the journey from diagnosis and through treatment alone and without the support of other similarly diagnosed and locally-based patients and their supporters.’

Our trained Peer Support Volunteers achieve this through our peer support group meetings which are held in-person regionally within the UK or virtually using Zoom.

    We are recruiting!

If you are interested in becoming a Peer Support Volunteer, we are currently looking for volunteers with PGL Syndromes, with a preference for the South, Southeast and East of England.  All Volunteers receive training (x1 weekend or weekday), must attend an annual Feedback & Development Day (x1 weekend), and will be required to hold x1-2 virtual meetings (weekends or weekday evenings), and x2 in-person meetings (weekends) per annum.  A full kit for in-person meetings is supplied and regular psychological supervision is available.

Please contact AMEND CEO, Jo Grey to discuss these opportunities further.
